ABOUT US

The Explorers Roundtable was created to provide a place for explorers to share tales of discovery and adventure and to engage with scholars in fireside discussions relevant to the science, history, and literature of exploration.

HOST BIO

Dr. Jonathan Hal Reynolds is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in England and a Member National of the Explorers Club in the U.S. He is an author for HarperCollins Publishing in NYC and teaches American Literary Cultures and Visions of Futurity: Exploring the Ethics of the Scientific Imagination at Baylor University in Texas. He has explored all seven continents on over 30 overseas expeditions and from 2015-2021 served as the CEO of Elite Expeditions, which was partnered with National Geographic Magazine. He has a Masters degree in Literature and Writing from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Literature from the University of Birmingham (UK).  He resides in Texas with his family.
